The 2018 Best Practice Network North America Study Tourwas off to an excellent start. A couple of days of networking meant we were able to visit local areas of interest, such as Niagara Falls, what an experience that was.
The first visits to JEC and Aeryon Labs provided excellent examples of Lean Implementation from a Toyota and Honda supplier to a manufacturer of high spec drones.
Visiting the Ontario Drive and Gear, then St Mary’s Hospital on the second Day provided insights into how CI and Lean can be applied in Low Volume/High Complexity Sectors as well as in a busy hospital, supporting local communities.
The Study Tour Team comprising of attendees from Bega Cheese, Wilson Transformers, Note Printing Australia, ANCA and Milspec are taking away many learning opportunities, as well as providing opportunities for improvement based on their experience.
We are looking forward to the next visits and networking opportunities.
