Dear Members,
ARB is Australia’s largest manufacturer and distributor of 4×4 accessories. The origins of ARB go back to 1975, when the company founder was inspired by a 4WDing trip through the top end of Australia.
Today, ARB has a vast international presence, with offices in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, and an export network that extends through more than 100 countries around the globe. Our philosophy, however, has never wavered from its original course – quality, reliability and practicality above all else.
Aside from having a leadership driven safety culture, ARB are looking to hear from organisations to see what key interventions you used to get your safety culture to where it is today?
We aim to take ARB safety performance to a higher level…
ARB Current State:
- Many mechanical processes and equipment;
- Low incidence of injury level overall. Main risk areas have been lower back / shoulder – ergonomic injuries;
- Communication barriers – significant ESL workforce;
- Safety Training challenges and effectiveness when having staff turnover;
- Culture – limited shared / active responsibility although have an active safety committee / mentality where it is commonly believed that safety is the responsibility of the business
We are reaching out to seek guidance from Best Practice Network as we would like to hear from other companies that have an effective and sustainable safety culture in place and how they went about shaping and achieving it.
We would welcome feedback and suggestions from organisations within Best Practice Network and would love the opportunity to discuss further.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Roger Chestney
