Asset Management Systems – August 2020

Dear Members,

Verton is a Brisbane based start up / scale up that developed the world’s first load orientation device. The equipment is battery powered and uses Gyroscopic principles to orientate suspended loads under a crane. The technology allows any load to be orientated using a remote control making crane operations safer and more efficient. Some components come from overseas, however most of the production process is done in Brisbane. Applications for this equipment include construction, mining, oil & gas, port logistics and renewable energy.

The business model is shifting from sale to lease or lease to buy model. With this change there is a need to manage assets that have been deployed with customers, but still belong to Verton.

Verton is seeking guidance and expertise from within the Best Practice Network, to understand:

  • What are the best practices, with regards to asset management?
  • What software is available, and what costs are associated, when implementing a new asset management system?
  • What are the traps to avoid during the implementation of an asset management system?

We look forward to receiving this feedback and guidance and would welcome the opportunity to further discuss and connect with members of the Best Practice Network.

Please respond via email [email protected] or by phone.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
