Best Practice Network Member Request: UWF Store Inventory System

Dear Members, 

United Welding Force (UWF) has evolved into a reputable provider of engineering and steel fabrication services, renowned for their quality and reliability. Their service offerings have diversified to include various aspects within the business, including Structural, Mechanical, and Piping scopes (SMP).

UWF currently manages their workshop’s daily consumables and service parts with a basic system, relying on an Excel spreadsheet for monthly stocktakes and end-of-month reconciliations. This process involves manually placing orders to replenish stock.

We are seeking more advanced and automated solutions for inventory control.

What UWF are looking for:

  • Potential improvements might include barcoding, automated ordering systems, or end-of-month reports with suggested orders;
  • Solutions involving an iPad or a mounted computer in the storeroom could also be considered
